25 Dec Paper Heart Snowflake
Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We have been enjoying ourselves spending time with our families.
Recently, a friend of mine posted a paper snowflake he made on Facebook. His wife challenged me to make my own creative paper snowflake. I haven't made paper snowflakes since I was a child. I don't even remember the last time I made one. So I decided to make something different, a snowflake made of hearts. I know, snowflakes cannot ever be made of heart shapes, let alone round edges. But I thought this would be unique. I tried a few different methods for making the initial folding, but I ended up choosing the standard paper snowflake fold (assuming there is a standard). Here is what the final snowflake looks like:
The snowflake is made up of hearts and is hexagonal shaped. It's very easy to make. Here are instructions on how to make the paper snowflake made of hearts:
Here is a close up view of the snowflake.
It's a little hard to see the pattern I cut in the video so here's an image of the paper snowflake before I unfolded it.
If you want something you can print out, I created a file with the heart shaped pattern. This pattern is a little more optimized to create nicer looking hearts. You can download it here: Heart Shaped Paper Snowflake. You will need to make the folds fist, then match the pattern on top of your folded paper.
Go ahead and make this simple paper heart snowflake and let me know how it turned out.

To make a smaller snow flake, you can just cut out the portion closest to the center or sharp tip. Thanks!
