06 Mar Birthday Pop Up Card: Square Cake Part 1
There are quite a few card designs I would like to post but its been tough finding time to make them and create the tutorial. So I decided that the next card I make will be a birthday pop up card. This pop up card is very versatile and can be used for many other occasions which involve a cake, such as, a wedding pop up card, graduation pop up card, congratulations pop up card, anniversary pop up card…etc. I've had this concept in my head for a while but now I've finally created a 3D mock up. Here is what it looks like:
Instead of candles, there are many other items you can put on the cake to customize it for the occasion.
You can view the tutorial for this design here: Square Cake Pop Up Card Tutorial.

Posted at 15:18h, 09 MarchI am only a beginner myself in such paper crafting but i have come to notice that cake are really hard to makes whether round or square because of the problems with the foldings unless you will be making a hexagonal cake because of the angle problem.
I am really waiting for that design, to see how you could overcome that problem

Posted at 06:29h, 13 MarchI’ve made a fair number of box-shaped pop ups, but tend to use the diagonal box method. Your post inspired me to take a stab at the crease-in-the-center box. I made a leprechaun house…and then got all ridiculous with a rainbow….
