27 Feb Gift Purse Pop Up Card: LV Purse Tutorial
Here is the tutorial for the LV pop up card. It is a little tedious to cut out by hand because the logos are very small. If you don't cut out the logos, then the card pretty simple to make. Here is a picture of the purse with the 2 dogs and the gift card.
This is a fun card to customize. Here is the video of the tutorial:
Here are the summarized instructions:
- Purchase the template for this design here: Gift Purse Pop Up Card Template.
- Print out the template.
- Tape the template onto the cardstock you would like to use.
- Cut out the card and the dogs (if you use them) preferably out of different colored cardstock.
- Score the areas with the dotted lines.
- Fold the scored lines.
-
Glue the sides of the purse together.
- The sides can fold inwards or outwards.
- Folding the sides outwards allows you more room for larger objects like a gift card.
- Cut out 2 outer pieces of cardstock 6.25″x4.25″.
- Glue one piece of outer cardstock to one side of the card making sure to carefully align the cardstock to the center fold.
- Glue the second piece of outer cardstock to the other side of the card, aligning it to the edge of the first card stock while the card is open. This will make sure that the card opens flat.
- Place the items in the purse (dog, gift card…etc).
- Close the clasp at the top of the purse.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.

Posted at 21:27h, 15 MarchWow – I am so happy to find your site – I actually was on You Tube. I am truly amazed at the creativity and engineering to make this purse…..it is ever so fabulous………gads, to hand cut it? I’ll give it a try…………..but I may have to somehow electronically cut a version of it for accuracy because my craft knife skills are noit too exact……….this project and others are simply amazing……you’ve given me a pop-up of a day!
thanks so much,
Patti

Posted at 09:58h, 17 MarchI love the LV card. I’m going to try to scan and save the template as SVG so that I can cut it out on my CriCut. That would be tons easier than with an exacto knife. Someone has probably already done that.
Would your friend be able to create a cut out of a Boston Bull Terrier? My boss is a huge fan and owner of some LV shoes. and she owns a Boston and her birthday is in June. =)
Thanks much!

Posted at 09:36h, 06 Mayhi!
I want to know how can I see all the Pop Up Cards, because I only can see the 2011 cards.

Posted at 14:53h, 06 MayI’ve only started this website this year. So unfortunately the only tutorials available are the ones that are in the “Pop Up Card Tutorials and Templates” section. Most of the cards that I have made in the past have been given away.

Posted at 01:47h, 03 JulyOMG ! This is amazing !!!
But can I use a regular paper instead the cardstock?
Creative
Posted at 08:20h, 03 JulyYou could, but it will be a little flimsy. You might still want to make the backing out of card stock so it will open up and stay open on a table.
