20 Oct Two-Ribbon Wedding Cake Pop-Up Card
Here is my final wedding cake pop up card. This version uses a white and red ribbon that make up the side of the cake so that it looks like a real wedding cake. It is a little tricky to glue the two ribbons together. The red ribbon is a thin chiffon material that the glue seeps through easily. The trick is to put just the right amount of transparent glue and touch it as little as possible so you don’t smear the glue around. The variations of this card can be endless when you use multiple ribbons. Not only would this make a great wedding invitation, it can be used as a wedding favor, especially if the cake matched the real wedding cake. Here is what this wedding cake popup card looks like:
After buying all that ribbon, I finally made 8 birthday and wedding cake popup cards. If you want to make this card, please check out my tutorial for making the 2-tier cake pop up card.
