09 Feb Valentine’s Day Pop Up Card: Lovebirds Part 1
I finished making the prototypes for the Valentine ‘s Day Lovebirds pop up card. Overall, I like the way the birds move when you open the card. I'm happy the way the card came out. It is also rather easy to assemble. I designed the card so that the angles of the birds's wings are all predetermined so you don't need to measure anything. In order to fit it in a 6″ envelope, the birds are rather small and some of the fine features are hard to see, such as the female bird's eyelashes. I know, female birds don't have eye lashes, but I thought it would be nice to make the bird more feminine. I couldn't really decide which version I liked, birds with hearts or birds with “I -heart- U”. Let me know what you think. I'm going to include both versions in the template so you can choose. Here is a picture of the birds with hearts in their beaks.
Here is a picture with “I -heart- U” in their beaks.
I'll also put a couple of other versions of the “I -heart- U” in the template and let you choose which one you like. Here is a video of both versions of the card.
You can view the tutorial for this card here: Lovebirds Pop Up Card Tutorial.
