06 Feb Valentine’s Day Pop Up Card: Lovebirds
Last year, I had a concept for a new Valentine's Day card but I couldn't get it to work. So this year I picked up the design again and solved some of the problems I had. I wanted to have 2 lovebirds come together while the card was opened, as if they were flying toward each other in mid air. Each bird would bring the other a heart. There could be many variations of this card. You could put “I love” in one bird's beak and “you” in the other bird's beak. Or, if a loved one had an interest in something, this card can be customized so that one of the birds would bring the other one, that special something. It could be a musical instrument, flower, golf club, purse…ok, maybe that's getting carried away. If you shift the birds closer, they could just come together and kiss, similar to the kissing couples card. So here is the design in 3D CAD.
